Boxauto is a multi-brand workshop on Rua Saraiva de Carvalho, in Cabriz, on the way into Sintra. The owners, Sr. João and Dona Rute, run it with a small team of mechanics that clients call competent, honest and quick.
Because it sits on the road into Sintra and someone here speaks English, travellers find it when things go wrong: a couple whose VW California's starter died at 6 pm slept in front of the garage, and had it diagnosed, repaired and billed — "well thought, rapid and reasonable". When other garages couldn't take a local customer before the holidays, they sent her here.
Clients come back for the same three things: parts that arrive fast, mechanics who explain, and a bill with no surprises. And for Sr. João's stories.
